For this purpose, the starting point is one of his most well-known essays in the academic/literary milieu, Chão de Dalcídio (1978), in order to identify the heritage left by Vicente Salles for literature studies in Pará. The theoretical contribution consisted of the esthetics of Reception, a school of literary theory that aimed to highlight the activity of reading historically constituted, basically the volumes published in Brazil under the following titles: A História da literatura como provocação à Teoria literária (2002), de Hans Robert Jauss; A literatura e o leitor (2002), org. de Luiz Costa Lima; and Estética da Recepção e História da Literatura (1989), de Regina Zilberman. On the work of Vicente Salles, we used the studies of Karla Aléssio Oliveto, Masters dissertation Vicente Salles: trajetória pessoal e procedimentos de pesquisa em Música (2007); and studies of Roseane Silveira de Souza, article Vicente Juarimbu Salles (1931-2013): o tempo vence o homem, não a obra (2013), among others. It is understood that the main criterion of Vicente Salles in his Ground are the local elements of the Brazilian Amazonian state of Pará and the appropriation of the folkloric material observed by the critic in the novel by Dalcídio Jurandir; the methods are hybrid and interdisciplinary and operate a dialectic between the aesthetic and sociological, typical method of the most important literary critic of the twentieth century, to the extent that, by this method, history is analyzed within the language and social processes are analyzed in the process of aesthetic formalization.Acesso AbertoSalles, Vicente, 1931-CríticaCriticismCNPQ::LINGUISTICA, LETRAS E ARTESO legado de Vicente Sales: critérios e métodos de abordagem literária em seu chãoThe legacy of Vicente Sales: criteria and methods of literary approach on his groundTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
