Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9075Document fraud is a long-standing concern, however, it has gained greater prominence in the digital environment, mainly because it has great relevance in influencing informational phenomena, which is why training professionals, especially archivists, to identify fraudulent digital documents is essential. In view of this, this research has as its main objective to outline an overview of the main contributions of Information Competence and Documentscopy in the identification of fraudulent archival documents based on the technical note of the Comptroller General of the Union. To this end, the following specific objectives were used as strategies: To theoretically systematize the main themes addressed in the research, To relate Diplomatics with Documentscopy, To analyze the Venire operation in light of the theoretical precepts of Diplomatics and Documentscopy, and To present the importance of Information Competence for the performance of professionals involved in identifying document fraud. To this end, the following methodological procedures were chosen: bibliographic research, bibliographic review (relational analysis) and case study.
