The focus lies in analyzing the costs associated with each system, aiming to provide relevant information for professionals and researchers in the field of civil engineering, especially those interested in lean construction practices. The work begins with a comprehensive literature review, exploring the fundamental principles related to costs in projects involving reinforced concrete and steel structures. Topics such as materials, labor, construction time, and other financial factors are thoroughly examined to establish a solid foundation for subsequent comparison. The adopted methodology includes detailed analysis of budgets from real projects employing both technologies. Specific data such as material costs, labor costs, and overhead expenses are meticulously analyzed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the financial implications associated with each structural system. Lean construction is incorporated into the analysis, considering practices aimed at eliminating waste, improving labor efficiency, and optimizing project execution time. The lean approach is evaluated in terms of how it can be effectively applied in conventional reinforced concrete structures and steel structures. The results obtained highlight not only the differences in costs between the two structural systems but also how the implementation of lean construction principles can positively influence the financial and operational efficiency of both methods.
