Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8104This memorial shows my point of view as a student of a full degree course in pedagogy of Federal University of Pará about the difficulties that a disabled person faces in basic education. The objective comprises narrating a little of my life story and my relationship with my sister, who is deaf, as well as relating the advances that have been made regarding the Brazilian Sign Language, of the rights and achievements that the community achieved in conjunction with the events of my personal life. I present as a starting point my reflections on childhood, experiences in Basic Education with regard to the inclusion of desabled person, and adding my choices for graduation and the opportunities experienced in Higher Education.Composing this academic memorial through a chronography sought to highlight my principles and knowledge on the subject in each specific moment of my life, resulting in a memorial divided into four sections.I start with some questions about Libras and inclusion in my childhood and basic education, bringing relationships with my sister's basic education.Soon after, I bring authors who mentioned the importance of including and teaching Libras in regular schools and question the reasons for the still not having made considerable changes in education at the time. In the following sections, I report on the changes I had in basic education and the desires and thoughts about higher education, in addition to commenting on my process for entering UFPA. In the final sections, I reflect on my undergraduate experiences and how I relate this to my sister's elementary school education.
