Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8035This article aims to highlight a specific aspect of the practice known in the Amazon region as the ‘Cult of Souls’, present in cemeteries in the city of Belém, mainly in the nineteenth-century cemeteries Nossa Senhora da Soledade and Santa Izabel, originally built in areas far from the center and which were absorbed and incorporated with the urban expansion, occupying the areas of the Batista Campos neighborhood – an upscale area – and Guamá – one of the most populated neighborhoods in the city.
