Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/5334This course completion paper (TCC) discusses the relationship of teaching pedagogical practices in relation to religious diversity at school, in elementary school, and presents the theme: religion and diversity: challenges and perspectives for teaching practice in public schools, with a view to to deal with the subject related to religious teaching in public schools. Thus, the theoretical contribution used is anchored in some scholars such as Tomas Tadeu da Silva (2004) who deals with the different identities of subjects, Paulo Freire (1993, 1996) who reflects on pedagogical practices, Junqueira (2002, 2004, 2007,2018) which discusses the importance of a more democratic and inclusive education; to dialogue about culture I use e, Cury (2004) to deal with religious teaching in public schools. Since 1998, the country has been considered a secular republic (Brasil, 1998), so, in contemporary times, has the development of pedagogical practices been contemplating religious diversity? Thus, bibliographic research is adopted as a methodological procedure, which consists of readings through materials already prepared, such as dissertations, articles, books, to provide the possibility of creating subsidies for the construction of the proposed theme. Therefore, it is indicated as a matter of study to understand how religious diversity is being worked on in public schools in elementary school, in the Religious Education discipline, in order to demystify religious intolerance, bringing about new perspectives of human formation aimed at the molds of respect diversity in the broad and social sense.
