The proposal is structured around the approach of the African kingdoms of Congo and Benin, articulated within the context of the transatlantic slave trade and the historical connections between Africa and Brazil. Considering the contemporary challenges of History teaching, especially regarding the implementation of Law No. 10.639/03 and the construction of approaches that overcome Eurocentric readings, the study discusses the use of playful teaching resources to support teaching mediation. The research, with a qualitative approach, was developed within the context of the Institutional Scholarship Program for Teaching Initiation (PIBID), involving the creation of the game and its application in elementary school classes. The game consists of thematic maps and cards, allowing the teacher to mobilize analytical categories such as historical subject, power relations, Atlantic networks, and coloniality. The results show that the resource contributes to the organization of teaching activities, favoring student participation and the construction of historical connections in a contextualized way. It can be concluded that educational games, as a methodological tool, are a relevant support for pedagogical practices focused on teaching African history and Atlantic relations.
