Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9557This article presents the results of an action research that aimed to analyze the main difficulties faced by elementary school teachers in the use of music as a pedagogical tool and at the same time present the results of an educational intervention project - workshops with an emphasis on Musical education that aimed at the continued formation and improvement of the pedagogical practices of the professionals of the arts (music) in the classroom. The people of the research were teachers of the municipal education network of Breves. In order to collect data for the initial diagnosis, we used the observation in classrooms during the compulsory stages of the pedagogy course, in order to later outline the workshop design goals; the interviews were carried out during the workshops. The results of the research indicate that the main difficulties faced in teaching are the lack of material resources and practical knowledge; In the lack of continuous training for teachers who work in the arts discipline, specifically in the teaching of music, but also the results point out the lack of interest and / or effort on the part of the professionals when the training courses are offered.
