Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8618This article analyzes the similarities between the duties of librarians and those of community health agents (CHAs) in order to assess the importance and contribution of Librarianship as a guide for the best performance of other professions, especially that of CHAs. Even though it is a profession linked to the health area, are the attributes of librarians applicable to the work of CHAs? Librarianship principles can contribute in an interdisciplinary and strategic way regarding the dissemination of information, whether through academic concepts or through practical issues of librarianship. The objective of this article was to analyze the contribution of Librarianship to the dissemination of information in the health area. The methodology presented theoretical and practical assumptions to create a link between the contribution of the knowledge acquired in the Librarianship Course and what can be applied to improve the training of CHAs, adopting an exploratory bibliographic research.
