Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/2474This work entitled “The development of practices to care for and educate young children: nursery experience, "A" from the nursery Maria Celes in Igarapé-Miri/Pa”, this work has as a research line the Early Childhood Education, and has as general objective to understand how the practices of caring and educating are being developed inside the nursery "A" in the referred nursery. The research also sought to know how the professionals who work there understand and associate this binomial caring and educating. Specifically, this work sought to briefly contextualize the history of early childhood education, the emergence of the nursery and the issues that permeate the care and education in these spaces, it was also sought to understand how the teachers understand these practices, trying to describe them from the observations made in nursery "A". This research is characterized as a qualitative research based on Chizzotti (2010), developed through an Ethnographic Case Study based on André (2012) carried out in nursery "A" of the Maria Celes nursery in Igarapé-Miri/Pa. The theoretical bases were based on scholars such as Ana Beatriz Cerisara (1999), Moysés Kuhlmann Jr. (2000), Sonia Kramer (2006, 2011, [2012]), Vital Didonet (2001, 2011), among others who develop studies on early childhood education. I still highlight some laws that have made the rights of children from 0 to 6 years legitimate, such as Federal Constitution of 1988, the Statute of Child and Adolescent (ECA, 1990), the Directives and Basis for National Education (9394/1996), the National Curriculum for Early Childhood Education (RCNEI, 1998), the National Policy on Early Childhood Education: for the right of the child from 0 to 6 years to Education (2003), the National Curriculum Guidelines for Early Childhood Education (DCNEI, 2010) and the National Curricular Common Base used with the teachers and the participant observation according to Chizzotti (2010). For the analysis of the data, I opted for Content Analysis based also on Chizzotti (2010). The results of this study indicate that the development of practices to care for and educate young children in the nursery "A" of the nursery Maria Celes, they materialize in dissociated moments, as there are specific moments for the realization of each practice as a result of the routine already determined by the day care coordination. However, this routine is characterized as an organizational strategy of teaching work, because it is necessary to have a certain degree of control over children, aking children understand that there are limits and moments to carry out the activities that are compelled. Therefore, it is concluded that despite this existing dichotomy arising from the determined routine, the professionals who work there understand the importance of working in an inseparable way such this practices, and always associate them in their daily actions.
