The study begins with the understanding that, although cell phones are often associated with distraction, they can play a relevant pedagogical role when properly guided. In many school contexts, prohibition highlights the lack of available didactic and technological resources for students, which limits access to updated information and the development of critical and autonomous reading skills. The study seeks to reflect on the challenges faced by teachers in this reality, considering both the arguments supporting restriction and the demands of na education aimed at forming critical individuals prepared for the digital world. To this end, the analysis is based on theoretical frameworks in the field of education and on research discussing the use of technology in the teaching-learning process.
