It is constantly evolving because more and more specialties are emerging, thus generating an increase in literature. The training, development and organization of the collection should be seen as a permanent process in which materials selection, acquisition and evaluation activities must be in perfect harmony with the user community. In order to guide the formation and expansion of its collection, each library must establish its collection development policy. The selection criteria should be fully linked to the objectives of the library.
