The Law number 9.279/1996, which regulates the rights of industrial/intellectual property in Brazil itself is recent, however brought with it the certainty of legal protection to inventors. It also makes analyses about the performance of the main Brazilian universities with the triangulation of government, research institution and productive sector. Talks about the origin, definition and valuation of the patent, an indispensable document for the development of the Northern Region and the country.
