In this context, this study aimed to evaluate the temporal and structural dynamics of water quality in different water matrices in the municipality of Canaã dos Carajás, Pará State, Brazil, using multivariate statistical techniques. Surface water, groundwater, drinking water, and wastewater matrices were analyzed based on monitoring data collected between January 2024 and December 2025. The data were organized and analyzed using descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and Principal Component Analysis (PCA), considering both structural and temporal approaches. The results revealed distinct patterns among the evaluated matrices, with drinking water showing the highest stability, wastewater presenting the greatest variability, and surface and groundwater exhibiting intermediate behavior. The multivariate analyses demonstrated that water quality variability was driven by the interaction of physical, chemical, and microbiological processes associated with hydrological seasonality and the operational conditions of water supply and wastewater treatment systems. PCA enabled the synthesis of these patterns and identified the main gradients responsible for differentiating the water matrices and explaining the temporal variability observed during the monitoring period. It is concluded that the integrated assessment of different water matrices using multivariate statistical techniques provided a comprehensive understanding of the environmental and operational factors controlling water quality, supporting environmental monitoring and water resources management in Amazonian municipalities.
