This research discusses questions related to preventive conservation, with respect to the factors that cause the deterioration of materials, environmental exposure conditions, types of materials, anthropogenic factors and introduces conservation procedures for types of exhibition supports, focusing on the Amazon’s region particularities, using as a case study the Art Museum of Belém. The analysis and proposals discussed here, take place in three exhibition rooms of the museum: Domenico Angellis, Armando Balloni and Ruy Meira.
