Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8574This work aimed to carry out a bibliographic mapping on low-cost alternative laboratories for teaching Physics, with a focus on Optics and Modern Physics, specifically considering the context of Brazilian public schools. The methodology employed was qualitative and exploratory, based on a systematic literature review conducted through Google Scholar and SciELO databases. Out of the 306 initially identified articles, 64 were selected for full reading, resulting in 37 studies fully meeting the inclusion criteria. The findings revealed a substantial number of accessible experiments constructed from recyclable or low-cost materials, with costs ranging from R$ 5 to R$ 120 for optical experiments and from R$ 50 to R$ 800 for Modern Physics-related proposals. The analysis indicated that these experiments could significantly enhance student learning, engagement, and development of scientific and technical skills. Nevertheless, notable challenges were identified, including the need for specific teacher training, limitations of school infrastructure, and scarcity of adapted materials for students with disabilities.
