The objective is to produce a cartography of the Landscape Units using geoprocessing techniques to contribute to the planning of the municipality of Ananindeua. Starting with a bibliographic review on the concepts of Landscape Units, geoprocessing, landscape, and environmental planning, a survey of qualitative and quantitative data related to the physical and social characteristics of the municipality of Ananindeua was also conducted. Thus, to map the Landscape Units, geoprocessing techniques were employed, such as the classification and interpretation of land use and occupation through satellite images, as well as vegetation indices and soil mapping. The modification of the landscape based on the forms of land use and occupation in the municipality occurs largely without adequate environmental planning.
