This research aimed to analyze the implications of depressive disorders in childhood, putting it in evidence and thus provide a better understanding among education professionals, the family and the community in which these children are inserted, because we understand that if these informed and committed parents can lead the child in coping with this problem. It is a theoretical and bibliographical study with authors who discuss with precision the subject matter, among them are Boruchovith and Cruvinel (2003), Varella (2019), Magalhães (2012), Teodoro (2010) and Palitot (2010). bringing important contributions be they in the educational, social, personal, physical and psychological areas. Thus, we understand that lack of knowledge hampers understanding by keeping depressive disorders unnoticed in society and continues to threaten child development and social relationships.
