Acesso em:.http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/1326This paper presents results obtained from the use of multisource sensors, Landsat TM-5 / OLI-8 SAR-R99B and SRTM-MDT data, applied to geological mapping and object-oriented classification of Vila Tancredo Neves region - Sao Felix do Xingu. The use of multisource data allowed the evaluation of processing techniques such as color composition, principal component analysis and antenna pattern correction to generate fotointerpretados maps. It was observed that the SAR-R99B images showed better potential for identifying fotointerpretadas geological units as the textural characteristics enabled the separation of the units visually more precisely the products of optical sensors. In the classification step oriented object ultilzado was a product resulting from the fusion of Landsat TM-5 (RGB 543) and HLH R99B-band SAR image in order to extract optical and textural characteristics that could point thresholds for identifying targets geological. The this image after preprocessing, was applied to object-oriented classification, which uses the segmentation technique to transform the image into objects (segments) within which the pixels have the same characteristics espectrais.Os descriptors and threshold values used for the classification of laterites were: the average brightness (0-59) and medium texture Haralick GLCM homogenity all direction (from 0.0400 to 0.0461).
