Therefore, information anxiety is a consequence of this informational context. In this sense, the study aims to analyze information anxiety and information literacy in the academic practice of library science students. The specific objectives are: a) to base the theoretical framework on studies that discuss both information anxiety and information literacy; b) to identify information anxiety and its probable causes among library science students; c) to find a parallel between information anxiety and information literacy in students' academic practices. The research methodology was quantitative-qualitative in nature, exploratory in scope, supported by a bibliographic study, as well as the application of a closed questionnaire to library science students in the class of 2022, in the morning and evening shifts. The results showed that information anxiety is a feeling recognized by a large portion of the research participants, and that social networks are considered the main trigger for this feeling. Regarding information literacy, it was found that students interact extensively with devices that facilitate access to information and effectively use databases in the field, such as Brapci and the Capes journal portal.
