Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/4784The clinical use of the esophagus manometry consists in defining contractiles esophagus characteristics in the attempt to identify pathological conditions. The authors aim demand manometric values esophangeals standards in the positions seated and lying, with healthy young adult volunteers that live in Belém metropolitan region with the purpose of preventing errors of interpretation with the comparisons of the standards of other populations, sometimes, with different characteristics. It had been made 76 examinations in volunteers in the age between 17 to 25 years, asymptomatics for the digestive tract. It was used a system of esophagitis manometry and catheter with 8 canals, with silicone, measuring 75cm of length for 0,5cm of diameter. The whole study of the three functional regions of the esophagus (lower esophangeal sphincter, esophangeal body and upper esophangeal sphincter) was evaluated with the patient in dorsal decubitus, after that he was moved into a ortostase position and submitted to a new complete manometric exame. When the results were analyzed, it had no difference between the sexes or studied positions, except in women in the lying position. So, we suggest that the reached parameters must being adopted as values of reference for the esophagitis motility in individuals from Belém metropolitan region population. Values for men (ortostase or decubitus): upper esophangeal sphincter - Length: the 2,0 4,0 cm; Maximum pressures of contraction in mmHg: 160 the 260; Residue of relaxation in mmHg: -8 the 8; Esophangeal body - upper part - maximum Pressures of contraction in mmHg: 35 the 70; Time of progression (second): 1,5 the 4,0. Average part -maximum Pressures of contraction in mmHg: 40 the 120; Time of progression (second): 3,0 the 4,0. Inferior part - maximum Pressures of contraction in mmHg: 70 the 120; Time of progression (second): 4,0 the 6,0; Lower esophangeal sphincter: Length: the 2,0 4,0 cm; Maximum pressures of contraction in mmHg: 26 the 55; Time of progression (second): 6,5 the 11; Residue of relaxation in mmHg: -5 the 5. Values for women in decubitus: upper esophangeal sphincter - Length: the 2,0 3,5 cm; Maximum pressures of contraction in mmHg: 150 the 250; Residue of relaxation in mmHg: -3 the 5; Esophangeal body - upper part -maximum Pressures of contraction in mmHg: 50 the 75; Time of progression (second): 1,5 the 3,0. Average part - maximum Pressures of contraction in mmHg: 70 the 145; Time of progression (second): 3,5 the 5,0. Lower part - maximum Pressures of contraction in mmHg: 100 the 170; Time of progression (second): 5,5 the 6,5; lower esophangeal sphincter: Length: the 2,0 4,0 cm; Maximum pressures of contraction in mmHg: 20 the 65; Time of progression (second): 8 the 12; Residue of relaxation in mmHg: -8 -1. Values for women in ortostase: upper esophangeal sphincter - Length: the 2,0 3,5 cm; Maximum pressures of contraction in mmHg: 150 the 240; Residue of relaxation in mmHg: -4 the 8; Esophangeal body - upper part - maximum Pressures of contraction in mmHg: 30 the 70; Time of progression (second): 1,5 the 2,5. Average part - maximum Pressures of contraction in mmHg: 65 the 125; Time of progression (second): 3, the 4,0. Lower part - maximum Pressures of contraction in mmHg: 65 the 135; Time of progression (second): 4,0 the 5,5; lower esophangeal sphincter: Length: the 2,0 3,5 cm; Maximum pressures of contraction in mmHg: 20 the 50; Time of progression (second): 7 the 10; Residue of relaxation in mmHg: -4 the 4.Acesso AbertoEsôfagoManometriaEsophagusManometryCNPQ::CIENCIAS DA SAUDE::MEDICINAPadrão manométrico esofagiano em voluntários de Belém/PaTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
