In women toxoplasmosis pregnant women can cause serious damage to the fetus, approximately 85% of newborns with congenital toxoplasmosis do not show clinical signs at birth, however a more detailed assessment may show changes such as intrauterine growth restriction, prematurity, cerebrospinal fluid abnormalities and scarring of retinochoroiditis. Given the above it was realized the need to develop a survey to know the level of knowledge of pregnant women about toxoplasmosis in Breves, Marajó Island, Pará.
