Castanhal-Shovel. In this purpose, a theoretical approach is made regarding the process of applying the methods that involve the teaching of mathematics. Then, a structured interview script was elaborated, obeying the specificities of the subjects of the researched entity, relating them the importance of the teacher, the encouragement of mathematics learning, the applied methodology and the difficulties in the teaching-learning process of the subject in question, as well as in their daily application.
