Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10164This study analyzes land conflicts between the Tembé Alto Rio Guamá (TIARG) Indigenous people and settlers who were evicted from the area in northeastern Pará. To this end, bibliographic research was conducted, and interviews were held with indigenous leaders and settlers (former residents and illegal occupants of the indigenous territory). Thus, the objective is to reflect on the effects of these conflicts on the process of clearing the TIARG territory and to identify how cultural values and historical disputes influence the issue of eviction.
