Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10152The present study aimed to identify the experience of private school managers related to the professional identity of the Physical Education (PE) teacher. A qualitative and descriptive approach was used in the research and 10 managers participated in the study, all of them being female. For data collection, a semi structured interview was adopted and for the treatment of information, Content Analysis was used: Technique of Elaboration and Analysis of Units of Meanings. The data reveal that managers first of all have experiences about PE that they directly associate with the issue of body health, these characteristics of the discipline presented by them may be linked to the past of the curricular component, since they had as a priority classes that addressed health and aptitude.
