Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10205This study analyzes, from the perspective of Social History and Material Culture, the biographical and professional trajectory of the artisan Rosilene Furtado Padilha (Lene), from Bragança, Pará. It investigates the shift of her ceramic practice from the traditional matrix of Vila Que Era to the community of Camutá in Bragança, Pará. The research examines how the ancestral knowledge of the "pottery women" (mulheres louceiras)—inherited from her mother, Maria Nazaré Furtado, and transmitted through mimetic and playful means within the family—was resignified throughout her life story. Drawing on Oral History and Lawrence Stone's prosopographical method, this study demonstrates how the artisan employed tactics of resistance, in line with Michel de Certeau’s framework, transforming traditional utilitarian earthenware into innovative bio-jewelry with a strong sense of identity.
