Acesso em:.http://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/2019Used precipitation data of the period from January of 1998 till December of 2007 collected by pluviometers of the National Institute of Meteorology - 2º DISME - BELÉM/INMET in a conventional meteorological station located in 01°43'S of latitude and 48°43'W of longitude and 10m of altitude. They had been compared with the Algorithm 3B42 that combines Satellite data in the microwaves channel to adjust to those of infra-red channel. The comparison between the algorithm 3B42 with pluviometers data of the city of Belém showed that the estimator 3B42 even though follows in a approach way the average precipitation throughout the years of the period from 1998 to 2007 with distinct values, however, next at certain times to the year and similar values in others. With prominence for the rainy period that is the trimesters of December, January and February (DJF) and March, April and May (MAM), where the estimate for 3B42 was next to the pluviometric precipitation and also the less rainy period than is the trimesters of June, July and August (JJA) and September, October and November (SOUND), where the estimate of 3B42 also was with its values approached in relation to the pluviometers data, making with that both the techniques of quantitative precipitation evaluation follow the seasonal variation and correctly esteem the rains behavior.
