The objective is to contribute with the subject using information transfer. For such, bibliographic and ethnographic research was realized to better understand the processes of transfer, conservation and cultural memory of artisanal fishing. The results showed that the spreading of this knowledge is realized through observation and orality occurring everyday, preserving the memory and knowledge of their ancestors. The results suggest the real need in protecting those memories from threats.
