This study is part of the search for cleaner and more sustainable energy alternatives, where biomass gasification emerges as a promising process for the use of organic waste from the Amazon region. Chemical equilibrium modeling was performed using a mathematical model implemented in Python for a downdraft gasifier, where, for a range of gasification temperature values and stoichiometric air ratio, values of 800 °C and 0.25, respectively, will influence the achievement of concentrations greater than 25% hydrogen in the volumetric fraction of the synthesis gas. Next, graphs were obtained that allowed the gasification process to be described. The model allowed the estimation of gasification process parameters, such as lower heating value, mass conversion efficiency, dry gas formation enthalpy, and dry gas mass. In summary, this work contributed to the field of bioenergy by offering a detailed analysis and a model adapted for small-scale biomass gasification, focusing on cocoa and palm oil residues, proposing a viable and sustainable solution for clean energy generation.
