The members of the order are closely linked to the conservation status of their habitats and are therefore considered to be habitat quality bioindicators. The Volta Grande do Xingu region is known to have high endemism of some groups such as Actinopterygii, which can be applied to other groups that do not yet have their fauna known at the site, such as the order Odonata. The lack of information and the constant anthropic changes (for example, the construction of the Belo Monte Hydroelectric) have been obstacles in the preservation of these and other groups. In this sense, this paper had as main aim to provide a checklist of Odonata (Insecta) adult species from streams of Volta Grande do Xingu, Pará. The aid of an entomological network was used to collect adult individuals of Odonata. A total of 526 specimens were collected, where two suborders, seven families, 27 genera and 55 species were identified. The most abundant suborder was Zygoptera with 374 individuals divided into five families, 14 genera and 33 species, followed by the suborder Anisoptera with 152 individuals, divided into two families, 13 genera and 22 species. Four species of Odonata were registered for the first time in the state of Pará. These data allow us to help increase the knowledge of Odonata fauna in streams of Volta Grande do Xingu, a region that is under intense anthropic pressure.
