The analysis is based on data collected over 10 years of compression strength tests of 28-day-old concrete specimens produced by a concrete batching plant. It was observed that, for each strength class, the average strengths obtained from the tests are compatible with the fcj values and, in some cases, even exceed them; however, these strengths are significantly greater than the strength required for structural design in reinforced concrete. This discrepancy between actual strength and designed strength has significant implications for the dimensioning of structural elements, which in turn impacts material consumption, potentially leading to overconsumption of materials such as steel and cement, which are considered cost drivers in this construction method. The study analyzes the impact of this variation in concrete strength on a real structure, highlighting the risks associated with overestimating strength in mix design calculations. Additionally, the potential financial impacts of this disparity are explored, considering the additional costs. The results underscore the impacts caused by elements that are stiffer than necessary. Furthermore, there is an emphasis on the need for a proactive approach to mitigate the risks associated with variations in concrete strength, including rigorous material quality assessments, continuous monitoring during construction, and the adoption of robust quality control practices.Acesso AbertoConcreto usinadoResistência à compressãoEstruturaModelagem computacionalDimensionamento estruturalReady-mix concreteCompressive strengthStructureComputational modelingStructural designCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA CIVILCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA CIVIL::ESTRUTURAS::ESTRUTURAS DE CONCRETOImplicações do aumento da resistência do concreto no cálculo da dosagem nas estruturas de concreto armado: estudo de caso com dados de 10 anos de uma concreteiraImplications of increased concrete strength on mix design calculation in reinforced concrete structures: case study with 10 years of data from a concrete plantTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
