In addition, maternal mortality, according to data from the Ministry of Health, in 2021 was 107.53 deaths per 100,000 live births. The current obstetric model is described by the high rates of cesarean section, which is shown to be the main cause of maternal and child death rates. Thus, the sociodemographic profile influences the health conditions and investigates such particularities is an important factor to guide the main demands of maternal health care. GENERAL OBJECTIVE: To identify the sociodemographic profile of pregnant women from 2018 to 2022, in the municipality of Altamira-PA. METHODOLOGY: This is an exploratory study of the quantitative type, through the collection of secondary data on the sociodemographic profile of parturients, relating them to the rates of normal delivery and cesarean delivery in the municipality of Altamira in the State of For. This study was carried out in the region of the municipality of Altamira, located in the state of Pará, in the North Region of the country.
