However, inadequate handling during its artisanal processing may compromise food safety and contribute to the occurrence of foodborne diseases, particularly orally transmitted Chagas disease. Despite the important role of Health Surveillance in preventing these risks, studies applying spatial analysis techniques to support the planning of sanitary inspection activities remain limited. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the spatial distribution of açaí processing and marketing establishments inspected by the Municipal Health Surveillance Department in the municipality of Oeiras do Pará, Brazil, identifying priority areas for sanitary inspection and contextualizing these findings with the historical occurrence of Chagas disease cases in the municipality. This applied quantitative study was based on documentary and spatial analyses. Data were obtained from the Municipal Health Surveillance and Epidemiological Surveillance services, including sanitary inspection records collected between March and June 2026 and confirmed Chagas disease cases reported from 2022 to June 2026. The inspected establishments were georeferenced and analyzed using QGIS software through the Kernel Density Estimation (KDE) technique to identify spatial hotspots and priority areas for sanitary interventions. During the inspection campaign, 38 establishments were evaluated, of which 36 presented sanitary irregularities requiring structural and operational improvements. Three establishments were officially fined and closed, while the remaining establishments voluntarily suspended their activities until the required sanitary standards were met. Spatial analysis identified urban areas with a higher concentration of irregular establishments, highlighting priority locations for intensified inspection, monitoring, and health education activities. Additionally, 99 confirmed cases of Chagas disease were recorded in the municipality between 2022 and June 2026, reinforcing the importance of preventive actions throughout the açaí production chain.
