Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8733This work plan, entitled Memory of the Elderly: Black and Quilombola Identity of Elderly People in Abaetetuba/PA, aims to investigate the role of the oral memories of Black quilombola elderly women in the preservation and reconstruction of Black and quilombola identity in the municipality of Abaetetuba/PA. The research was carried out in the communities of Piratuba and Bom Remédio (Rio Assacu). Through interviews, the study sought to understand how the life experiences of these women - shaped by early labor, school exclusion, traditional practices, and popular religiosity - are connected to cultural resistance and ancestry.
