Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10221The study originated from my work as an intern from 2022 to 2024 in two sectors of the Public Prosecutor's Office of the State of Pará (MPPA), specifically the 4th Prosecutor's Office for Fundamental Constitutional Rights and Human Rights and the Interdisciplinary Technical Support Group 1. The research was developed with the objective of analyzing historical perspectives on childhood, the absence and recognition of rights as a guarantee, and the role of the pedagogue in partnership with the MPPA in ensuring these rights. The methodology consisted of a qualitative approach, through a literature review, considering laws and works by authors who discuss childhood in terms of the absence and recognition of rights, as well as the role of pedagogues in public institutions, with a focus on the Public Prosecutor's Office of the State of Pará. The results indicated that pedagogues play a strategic role in guaranteeing rights and mediating conflicts, as well as supporting cases involving social vulnerability of children and adolescents. They collaborate with other professionals, such as social workers and psychologists, to strengthen the protection network and improve public policies for children and adolescents, although structural and social challenges persist, requiring joint and interdisciplinary efforts between education professionals and child rights defense institutions.
