Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/7979This study conducted a multitemporal analysis of land cover changes in the Bragança Immediate Region, Pará, Brazil, between 1985 and 2023, using Mapbiomas data to create thematic maps in QGIS software. The research sought to identify trends and patterns in land cover over time, highlighting changes resulting from human interventions. The methodology included the temporal analysis of data from Mapbiomas Collection 9, based on thematic mapping. The results show significant changes in land cover, with implications for the landscape and the use of land and natural resources, mainly due to the replacement of forest formation by pasture, urban expansion, mining, degradation of flooded fields and, occasionally, coastal ecosystems such as beaches, dunes and sandbanks. Crops such as oil palm and soybeans may expand in the future. Mangroves fluctuated in area during the period.
