Due to climate change and urban development, the frequency and magnitude of floods have increased exponentially, making the risk management and mitigation of the problem necessary. In this context, the elaboration of floods susceptibility maps becomes an important aid tool to accident prevention and floods management. This study aims to map areas for the identification of floods susceptibility based on the methodology of multicriteria analysis by the Delphi method combined with the AHP method, considering influential geoenvironmental characteristics for the phenomenon of flooding. The methodology was applied in the Tocantins Baixo sub-basin region, located near the Amazon-Cerrado ecotone region, Brazil, whose urban areas are located mainly near the watercourses, which are frequently affected by flood-related risks. Based on the results obtained, it was found that the area’s most vulnerable to flooding were located at the outlet of the basin and close to the banks of the rivers, mainly due to the influence of the tide. On the other hand, the areas considered as low and very low susceptibility are distributed downstream of the dam of the Tucuruí hydroelectric plant, where there is very little tidal influence.
