The absence of innovative practices for the teaching of chemistry content, end up generating in students aversion to this discipline, considering it complex and difficult to understand. Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) can be great ally in the teaching and learning processes by the ability to illustrate or represent abstract concepts such as chemical bonds dynamically, in addition to being a didactic resource more attractive to students in favor of interactivity. In this context, the present work had as objective to develop a Virtual Learning Object (VLO) in the form of simulator as a didactic resource proposal for the teaching of ionic chemical bonding. The program used for the development of the VLO was Microsoft PowerPoint, version 2016. The VLO was presented to the students of the Specialization Course in Education in Sciences in the Contemporaneity, Faculty of Natural Sciences of the University Campus of the Marajó-Breves, which are teachers of science. The VLO was then evaluated by a questionnaire with ten closed questions. In the criteria of animation, graphic interface, and ease of interaction, 100% of interviewees considered the VLO to be good or good. As to the clarity and precision of the VLO in the concepts exposition, 95% considered it extremely or very clear and precise, since in the presence of everyday elements, 89% rated it as good or good. Thus, it is believed that the ionic-type chemical bonding simulator can contribute to the teaching and learning process of the topic.
