One of the main methods in geo-magnetism is the Magnetotelluric (MT) method, which uses electromagnetic sources not controlled (natural) in order to identify major structures through measurements of electric and magnetic fields obtained in the subsurface or in ocean substrate. The response to the MT method can be described by numerical modeling of EM data, building geoelectric models that represent the subsurface geological structures. In the referred work is used the technique of the finite element solution for the Helmholtz equation that governs the phenomenon of the method through a C++ code. Representative models of simple mineral structures are analyzed, in addition to interpret the responses obtained (apparent resistivity and phase) from the developed code. For code validation compare yourself to the results with data obtained from the Key e Weiss (2006) program.Acesso AbertoGeofísicaProspecção - Métodos geofísicosProspecção magnetotelúricaEletromagnetismo - SimulaçãoC++ - Linguagem de programação de computadorCNPQ::CIENCIAS EXATAS E DA TERRA::GEOCIENCIAS::GEOFISICAModelagem do método magnetotelúrico 2D usando elementos finitos em C++Trabalho de Curso - Graduação - Monografia
