This study aimed to identify and characterize allochthonous marine macrolitter (>2.5 cm) on Chavascal Beach (difficult access) and Farol Velho Beach (a recreational area), both located within the Caeté-Taperaçu Marine Extractive Reserve, Bragança, Pará, Brazil. Monthly surveys were conducted between October 2023 and September 2024, involving the collection, sorting, and identification of debris according to material type, product category, volume, brand, country of origin, and estimated age. Climatological and hydrodynamic conditions were also analyzed, along with PlasticAdrift model simulations to assess the physical feasibility of long-distance oceanic transport. At Chavascal Beach, 936 debris items were collected, with a predominance of PET bottles (88.34%) and 179 brands, mainly associated with African and Asian origins. At Farol Velho Beach, 831 debris items were recorded, with plastic caps (56.31%) and plastic bottles being the most representative categories, and 134 brands from 39 countries were identified. Mauritania and China were the main countries associated with the identified debris. The simulations indicated that plastic bottles released along the West African coast could reach the Amazonian coast within time scales ranging from 0.7 to 2.8 years. There is evidence that debris from West Africa may reach the region through ocean currents, whereas litter originating from other countries may be associated with potential illegal disposal by vessels operating in the region. The results indicate that the studied beaches function as receiving areas for allochthonous marine litter, resulting from the interaction between oceanic transport, coastal dynamics, and possible contributions from maritime activities.
