Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/8749The Institutional Scholarship Initiative Program (PIBID), implemented by the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES), has been recognized in recent years for its contributions to undergraduate degrees, mainly in teacher education. Thus, the present work aims to analyze the pedagogical experiences in the initiation of teaching and identify the difficulties and contributions of the PIBID to the teaching practice, as well as to report how the activities carried out in the PIBID contributed in the initial formation of undergraduate students. The methodology chosen was the qualitative study, with application of questionnaires containing 10 questions (open and closed) about the activity in the PIBID, from 2014 to 2016, of 6 graduates and 1 undergraduate students of the Natural Sciences course of the Federal University of Pará, in Breves/PA. The data were analyzed by categorization of the subjective answers of the participants, in order to find most evidence points of agreement and divergence. According to students responses, the main contributions were related to the development of the professional career by initiation of teaching and assistance in pedagogical training. On the other hand, the difficulties were lack of experience in the classroom, overcame through various activities.
