The objectives of this study were to know the final destination of domestic wastewater produced in this space, the possible existence of a wastewater treatment and evaluation of the Strategic Plan of the municipality with regard to the fulfillment of the law 5.587/95 in Articles 62 and 63 which deal the question of the appropriate final destination of sewage. Following the proposed methodology was applied to survey residents in the surrounding area, photographic records and evaluation of the Strategic Plan of the municipality to meet actions to deal with domestic wastewater. The results affirm that all domestic wastewater produced in the vicinity of the edge of the municipality is dumped in the mangroves without any treatment. Human waste that are also classified as sewage, septic tanks are deposited in irregular and as the results may be indirectly contaminating mangrove.
