This research aims to characterize the use of medicinal plants by families residing in the village of Cuiarana, as well as the associated traditional knowledge. The study was conducted in the village of Cuiarana, located 15 km from the town center of Salinópolis, in the state of Pará. Data were collected through interviews with 20 families. In addition to the interviews, visits were made to home gardens—involving walks through the areas where plants are sourced—to identify the specific plants mentioned by the families. In total, the families cited 57 ethnospecies across 34 botanical families, accounting for 140 citations. The most prominent botanical families were Lamiaceae (12 species), Rutaceae (5 species), Euphorbiaceae (3 species), and Asteraceae (3 species). Among the ailments treated with medicinal plants, conditions affecting the respiratory system (39 citations), the digestive system (37 citations), and the immune system (17 citations) were the most frequently mentioned.
