Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9629The high generation of industrial waste in Brazil and its long decomposition time constitute an environmental problem. In this context, this study evaluates the performance of mortars with partial replacement of sand by PVC waste (10%, 20%, and 30%) in cementitious boards. Properties were verified in the fresh and hardened states, aiming at sustainability and the reduction of environmental impacts. The results indicate that the mix with 10% replacement is the most balanced, maintaining watertightness and durability similar to the reference mix, in addition to reducing the weight of the board by approximately 6%. It is concluded that the use of 10% PVC waste is environmentally viable, as it mitigates industrial waste and reduces the extraction of natural aggregates by 9.5%, without requiring complex beneficiation processes, thus establishing itself as a sustainable alternative for civil construction.Acesso AbertoArgamassasPolímero PVCEstanqueidadeBaixa densidadePlacas cimentíciasMortarsPVC polymerWatertightnessLow densityCementitious boardsCNPQ::ENGENHARIAS::ENGENHARIA CIVILEstudo de placas cimentícias com resíduos poliméricosTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - Artigo
