Acesso em: .https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/10368This study analyzes the memories and knowledge related to cassava flour production in the Quilombola community of Tipitinga, located in the municipality of Santa Luzia do Pará, in northeastern Pará state. The research aimed to understand how the knowledge associated with flour production contributes to the preservation of collective memory, cultural identity, and the community's way of life. Methodologically, a qualitative approach was adopted, based on Oral History, with semi-structured interviews and field observations conducted with community residents. The results show that flour production transcends its economic dimension, constituting an important cultural heritage transmitted between generations. The narratives reveal the close relationship between territory, ancestry, family work, and Quilombola permanence, demonstrating that the knowledge involved in cassava cultivation and flour production remains central to the social and cultural reproduction of the community. The study also highlights the relevance of community organization, religiosity, education, and territorial recognition for strengthening Quilombola identity.
