For this, the deductive method was applied in relation to the approach, and the research had quantitative and qualitative characteristics. A bibliographic review and data collection were carried out and the tariff spreadsheets most used in the country are those developed by GEIPOT and ANTP. The study considered the database of the last tariff spreadsheet used to calculate the tariff for the Belém public transport system, approved in March 2022, and the GEIPOT spreadsheet is used in the RMB. The methodology consists of carrying out simulations considering free scenarios. Belém's public transport system is entirely farebased and the free fares burden the paying passenger.
