Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/jspui/handle/prefix/7751Considering the importance of cultural diversity in the environment in which students are inserted as fundamental in motivating them to learn new knowledge and the growing consumption of anime by school-age children and young people in Brazil, this study aimed to present the state of knowledge about anime in chemistry teaching. This is a systematic literature review, of an exploratory nature and a qualitative-quantitative approach, with data collected from Google Scholar, Google, Catalog of Theses and Dissertations of Capes, and the Online Scientific Electronic Library. The analyses indicate a convergence among the authors regarding the motivations for using anime in chemistry teaching, evidencing its ability to arouse students' interest and favor the contextualization and understanding of scientific concepts attractively and engagingly. Furthermore, it is observed that, although anime does not have an explicit didactic purpose, it can serve as a complementary tool in teaching, especially in addressing various objects of knowledge in Chemistry, as long as it is integrated with appropriate technical-pedagogical strategies. However, the studies analyzed highlight challenges, such as the need to align the content presented in anime with the curricular chemical concepts and the lack of research that systematically proves the effective learning of students resulting from the use of this resource. Thus, it is concluded that anime has the potential to enrich chemistry teaching.
