Acesso em:.https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/5049This review will present the main differences between inflection and derivation according to normative grammar and its inconsistencies that are pointed out by linguists Joaquim Matoso Câmara Jr. (1904-1970) and José Lemos Monteiro (1893-1935), exposing the way in which traditional grammars deal with the subject. In this context, the following review was designed based on the morphology classes, which are being administered in this semester 2022.4 at the Federal University of Pará, Abaetetuba campus, in the Portuguese language course.
