Acesso em:https://bdm.ufpa.br/handle/prefix/9688This final project proposes the design of a line of mashrabiyas, aiming to adapt these traditional architectural elements of Arab origin to the Amazonian context, proposing sustainable solutions for environmental comfort in buildings. Conceptually and aesthetically, this project incorporates patterns and symbols from the regional iconography of the Amazon (fauna, flora, cultural signs, etc.) into the design of these elements, creating a product line with a distinctive visual identity that seeks to celebrate local cultural values. In parallel, supported by software simulations and interviews, the research draws on software simulations and interviews to evaluate the thermal and lighting performance of the muxarabis, considering the specific challenges posed by the hot and humid equatorial climate.
