Brazil’s Unified Health System (SUS) has structured public policies to address HPV, consolidated by Law No. 15.174/2025, which established the National Policy for Combating Human Papillomavirus Infection. This study aims to analyze the perceptions regarding the HPV vaccine among male adolescents aged 12 to 14 attending public schools during the final years of elementary education. The primary factors contributing to this lack of knowledge among young people regarding HPV are taboos and stigma; as it is a sexually transmitted infection (STI), the subject remains shrouded in shame, hindering open conversations at home, in schools, and even during medical consultations. It is important to highlight that more than two-thirds of the interviewed adolescents could not identify the specific disease or diseases caused by HPV; this reflects weaknesses in the primary health communication system and the relationship between health and education in the area where the study was conducted.Acesso AbertoHPV Human PapillomavirusVacinaVírusGênero MasculinoAdolescentesEscolas Públicas do ParáVaccineVirusMaleAdolescentsPublic Schools of ParáCNPQ::CIENCIAS BIOLOGICAS::GENETICAPercepção de adolescentes do gênero masculino sobre a vacina contra HPV - Human Papillomavirus: uma análise comparativa em escolas públicas do ParáTrabalho de Curso - Graduação - ArtigoAttribution-NonCommercial-NoDerivs 3.0 Brazil
